Ikimono-gakari (いきものがかり) is a Japanese pop rock band that debuted in 1998. They record on Sony Music Entertainment Japan's Epic Records label. The band was formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in February 1999 by Hotaka Yamashita and Yoshiki Mizuno, and was later joined by lead vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka in December the same year.
Ikimono-gakari (生き物係) refers to a group of children who are responsible for looking after plants and animals in a Japanese elementary school. Some of their singles is used for anime soundtrack like Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, Ayakashi, etc. But some also used for TV shows like news program, dorama, and also movies.More about them, read here.

- "Futari" – used as the theme song for the drama series Boku no Imouto.
- "Hotaru no Hikari" – used as the fifth title opening of Naruto: Shippuden.
- "Joyful" - used as CM song for Glico Pocky.
- "Naku Monka" - used as the theme song for the eponymous movie Naku Monka.
- "Toki o Kakeru Shōjo" was the insert song and "Nostalgia" was the ending theme for the 2010 movie adaptation of the novel Toki o Kakeru Shōjo otherwise known as Girl Who Leapt Through Time
- "Arigatō" - used as theme song for TV drama Gegege no Nyōbō.
- "Kimi ga Iru" - used as theme song for TV romantic comedy Hotaru no Hikari 2.
They also make a new single on this April 2011 titled "NEW WORLD MUSIC" that used as theme song for Fuji TV program "Mezamashi" although they've informed to take a rest from music for 6 months on december 2010 and will start again on July 2011.
